Chapter 1
1. What problems or conflicts are presented in chapter one? Tao needing to find a rabbit is an obvious one; identify at least two more.
One of the problems were that he got in trouble because they thought he ate the rabbit. Tao drew an image when drawing is a taboo.
2. Predict the resolution of each conflict. Example:
conflict: Tayo needs to find a rabbit.
predicted resolution: He will find the one he lost.

What two important events happen in this chapter?
1st Event:
Tao went back to the meadow were he had left the rabbit. When he got there the rabbit was gone. There was only the outline of
the rabbit, and paws of a hyena.
2nd Event:
Tao went to the forsaken place were supposly there were evil spirits. He didn't want to go because he thought about the taboo
of goning there.

Tao and Ram learn to hunt together. He found Ram ( the little wolf ) in the forbidden place.
2. What decision does Tao tell Volt?
That he would hunt alone. Also he told him that if they had a wolf dog the would have more food.
3. Look at Tao's decisions and actions from Volt's perspective. Pretend you are Volt. Write a first person paragraph explaining how you feel.
I would feel steaming mad. I would tell him that he most learn to obey.In addition I will tell him that

I think he changed his mind because he has some hope in Tao, but he doesn't want to show it. Maybe because he just
wants to see what Tao can do and how he does it.
